Ever since I began playing a musical instrument, I was always chasing the sound I heard on my favourite records. Trying to capture the sonic scapes of these records was initially an impossible task, but over the last 5 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with a brilliant set of artists that have given me the opportunity to explore this unique field and produce a sound that I can call my own.
In this period, I have worked specifically on the genres of Progressive Rock, Progressive Metal, Thrash Metal, Instrumental Rock, Singer-Songwriter amongst others. Whilst most of my work has been in the Metal sphere, being able to work in different genres has let me work on material that goes beyond the given norms in Metal music. This has also made me open up to various projects that I wouldn’t have taken in the past and has thus enhanced my skill set.
In terms of my experience in videography and video editing, I developed that off the need of expressly wanting to create my own content for YouTube. Once that started picking up, I was lucky enough to work with people that wanted. a lot of video editing done, which helped me hone my craft really quickly. My experience at Sofar Sounds Delhi NCR let me use my skills to a wide International audience.
Above all, my biggest interest and happiness comes from making a product along with an artist that leaves me and the artist happy. Although I bring my skills to the table, it is only when the artist and I work together that the magic truly happens. And yes, that is the secret sauce.
